Supported versions
Angular, Ionic, Capacitor, Cordova, TypeScript and Node versions tested with the App SDK, plus build requirements for current iOS and Xcode.
The App SDK is tested with the versions below. It ships ESM and CommonJS builds that target ES2019, with type declarations for both. It uses no Node APIs at runtime.
Tested versions
| Tool | Tested versions |
|---|---|
| Angular | 15 to 22 |
| Ionic | 6 to 8 |
| Capacitor | 8 |
Cordova iOS (cordova-ios) | 8 and later |
| TypeScript | 4.9 to 6 |
The SDK works with the Angular webpack and esbuild builders.
Build requirements
- iOS 27 with Xcode 27: Capacitor apps need Capacitor 8.5 or later.
- Cordova on iOS: use
cordova-ios8 or later to build with current Xcode. Older Cordova iOS shells lack UIScene support and can crash at launch on current iOS. This is not related to Apex. - Angular 20: needs Node 20.19 or later.
- Angular before 19: use
APP_INITIALIZERinstead ofprovideAppInitializer. See Run it at startup.
Platforms
Events report the platform as ios, android or web. Apex detects it from Capacitor, then Cordova, then the user agent. Set the platform option to override it.
